Tips for Photographing Cherry Blossoms in Seattle

Capture the magic of the cherry blossoms with these quick tips: Arrive early in the morning for the best light and fewer crowds. Or during sunset when people are starting to end their day. If you go to the UW Quad make sure to go on a weekday as it gets so hectic during the weekends. We tried going on a sunny Sunday and the traffic was so bad that we just decided to come back on Monday to enjoy them.

With your camera use a wide aperture to blur the background and make the blossoms pop. You can also get down low to capture a wider angle of the trees. Also, it is nice to use the cherry blossom trees as a foreground or in part of the image to make your photos more creative. Experiment with different angles to create unique compositions. I’ll dive into the top spots to see them next!
